Text | Emily Isaminda Collins born abt. Abt. 1850 Ozark County, Missouri, Dec 30, 1924 married James William Welch and she is a distant relative of mine. I thought I would explain why I am on your site, and most of you if not all of you might not knoow me. She was my second cousin four times removed so that is a ways back. I knew Hazel Clark and considered her a friend of mine, and she told me about Charlie Gray and that this Emily Isamanda Collins married into a branch of your tree. We had a good laugh over that as we meant accidently, and the Collins came into both my line, and this site, and I do genealogy. She wasn't sure how distant at that time the relationship was, but mentioned it, and invited me, or got me invited to tthe site as she thought it was kind of funny we meant doing Nurse's aide work for my Mother-in-law at her house (My Mother-in-Laws that is) and when we were visiting she told me about being on this site when she found out I did genelogy, and wawas a Collins descendant. Then she realized she knew of one of the names in my tree. We were both Nurse's aides for my MIL along with one other girl Alice, so we visited sometimes when we passed while changing shifts, or later on as my MIL goot weaker we both went to take her to the Doctor so one could drive, and get close to the doors and the other would run and borrow a wheelchair form the place for us to use to get her in. Sometimes bribing her to go to the Doctor's with a promise to go through Dairy Queen afterwards which my MIL loved. We had other interests in common too Hazel and I , and exchanged books to read also, maybe many books, by two certain authors we both liked. So Hi to you all and that is why I pop on here once in a while or have in the past because I do have a connection to one of your ancestors, as well as being a friend of Hazel's who I often talked to at night on MSN too. So just wanted to finally say hi and let you know why I am on here or have been. Pris | |
