- Tampie Corena "Cagle" Coble, age 100 of Louisville, IL, known as Corena, departed this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at her daughter's home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Corena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Tampie was born in Dalhart, Texas, on January 28, 1913, to William Isaac Cagle and Lula Mae "Ketchum" Cagle. She married James Theodore Coble, (Ted), on July 27, 1929, in Clayton, New Mexico.
She, her husband and the two eldest children arrived in Clay County, Illinois, from Oklahoma in 1935. They are survivors of the Dust Bowl. Corena enjoyed helping other people. Her jelly and hot rolls were enjoyed by many people. She loved to cook, quilt, crochet, garden, enjoy music and dance. This remarkable lady will always be remembered by her family for the love and comfort she gave them throughout the years.
She is survived by her six children: Priscilla Yvonne O'Sullivan, William Ronald Coble, James Theodore Coble, Jr, Stanley Alton Coble, Glenda Arlene Bryant, and Arilla Roschell Walker.
Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Theodore "Ted" Coble, Sr., in 1971; brothers, Robert Roy Cagle, Everett Cagle; sisters, Virginia Lee Ferguson, Mary Catherine Cagle, half-sister Fannie Decker; three son-in-laws, Robert Eugene Blaydes, John O'Sullivan and Duane Dell Bryant.
Arrangements were handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL.
Funeral service was held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home.
Interment was in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
