- Osa "Mac" McPeak, 79, of Olney, died at 12:30 p.m. May 9, 2010, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Services will held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Best officiating. Burial will be in Tolliver Cemetery in Louisville with full military rites performed by Olney veterans.
Mr. McPeak was born August 8, 1930, in Clay County, the son of Osa A. and Lola (Tucker) McPeak. He married Alene Kincaid on June 29, 1950. She survives.
He was a retired lineman for CIPS. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Olney. He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He was an avid woodworker, chip carver, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Mr. McPeak is survived by his wife, Alene McPeak, of Olney; son, Bob McPeak and his wife, Tina, of Swansea; son, Randy McPeak and his special friend, Zaidy Costa, of Huntersville, N.C.; daughter, Linda Bower and her husband, Bob, of Auburndale, Fla.; sister, Rose Freeman, of Salem; brother, Charles McPeak and his wife, Mary, of Louisville; brother, John McPeak and his wife, Linda, of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Osa A. and Lola McPeak; sister, Edna; and brothers, Bobby, Ken and Bill.
