- Berta Mae "Bertie" Bauman, 82, of Olney, died at 11:40 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeremy Henson officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
Mrs. Bauman was born March 18, 1926, in Richland County, the daughter of Fred and Elise (Fiscus) Travers. She married Bill Bauman on June 9, 1945, and he survives.
She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Bauman, of Olney; son, Mike Bauman and his wife, Barbara, of Olney; daughter, Susie Mayberry and her husband, Rick, of Olney; son, Tom Bauman, and his wife, Marilyn, of Olney; daughter, Patti Harmon, and her husband, Rick, of Olney; brother, Bob Travers, of Olney; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Frederick Bauman Jr.; and sisters, Betty Wachtel and Pauline Rohr.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
