Selected for the Infantry, completed basic training, and qualified in the Military Occupational Specialty of General Clerk (055). Departed the Continental U.S. on August 6, 1946 bound for The Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. Served with the Manila Leave Center, Luzon, Philippine Islands. Honorably discharged as a Private First Class on April 23, 1947 at The Separation Center, Fort Lawton, Washington, per demobilization plan. Earned the WWII Victory Medal.
