Stationed at, served aboard, or assigned to (in turn), Naval Air Station, Norman, Oklahoma; Naval Air Station, Lambert Field, Saint Louis, Missouri; the Cleveland class, light cruiser USS Portsmouth CL-102; and Observation Squadrons VO-10 and VO-2, Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia. Received a general discharge under honorable condition as an Apprentice Airman on December 16, 1948 at same station. Earned the American Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal for his service during the periods of eligibility.
