• Notes

  Joe was a 1947 graduate of Patoka High School and a 1956 graduate of Oakland City College. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was Honorably Discharged in 1953. He received his Master's Degree in Education from Butler University in 1969 and retired from IPS in 1994 having taught at Tech Day Adult School, Indianapolis Juvenile Center, and the Marion County Jail. Camping and participating in Civil War reenactments were his hobbies. Joe was a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church, the American Legion, and the Retired Teachers Association.
