  Dawn Carol Powell, 86, of Pekin, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at Pekin Manor. Born February 7, 1935 in Spokane, Washington to Dale and Florence Mildred (Rutter) Zannacker, she married Robert Francis Powell on May 1, 1952 in Pekin. He preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Nate Thompson; one step-daughter, Pamela Holmberg; three brothers, Dale Zannacker of Oskosh Wisconsin, Robert Thompson and Jerry (Donna) Thompson both of Pekin. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Taylor and Susan K. Rasmussen, both of Pekin; two sons, Robert David (Becky) Powell and Mark Alan Powell, both of Pekin; and one brother, Rick (Janet) Thompson of Pekin. She worked for Stafford's Dairy for many years and worked part time at various place's including Tremont Auto Auction for 14 years. Dawn loved camping, traveling, playing cards, and needlework.
