  Donald C. Kifer age 77 of Ste. Marie, IL and formerly of Walnut Ridge died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL. Don was born on October 30, 1932 in Otwell, Arkansas the son of the late Charles "Burt" and Ruby Nell (McClurg) Kifer. He married Dosha Willene Rice on May 30, 1953, Don was a retired iron worker. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Don served his country in the United States Air Force from December 20, 1950 until April 24, 1952. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years Dosha Willene Kifer of Ste. Marie, IL; daughter, Donna (Matt) Barnett of Ste. Marie, IL; son, Terry Kifer of Hebron, IN; grandchildren, Jerry (wife Cindy) Mashburn; Shane (wife Amy) Mashburn; Brittany Barnett; Amanda Kifer and Jerry Pittman; 9 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Iona Smith of Augusta, GA; Two brothers, Paul (Jackie) Kifer of Pairs, IL and Tony (Sandy) Kifer of West Terre Haute, IN; Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Funeral services celebrating Don's life were held at the Higginbotham Funeral Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Internment was in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge with full military rites.
