- Raymond "Ike" Rosenlieb, 48, passed away very suddenly Friday night Sept. 22, 1967, at the family residence in Holyrood, Kansas. He was a former resident of Olney and Clay City. Mr. Rosenlieb was born in Monroe County, Ohio, the son of August Rosenlieb and Viola Forester Rosenlieb. He was at the time of his death the Production Superintendent of the Sohio Oil Company. He had been employed by the company for 24 years. Mr. Rosenlieb was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Placillin, Kansas, a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion at Holyrood, Kansas and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Yazoo City, Miss.He was married to Edyth Collins at St. Charles, Mo., on April 18, 1941. She survives him. Also surviving are three children: Larry Ray Rosenlieb, now serving with the U. S. Navy, Susan and Kathy Rosenlieb, both at home. He has one grandchild. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Viola Rosenlieb of New Matamoras, Ohio, and the following brothers and sisters: Wilbert and Clifford, both of Toronto, Ohio, Edward and Paul, both of Clay City, Floyd of Pauls Valley, Okla., Charles of Casper, Wyo., Shirl of Sardis, Ohio, Mrs. Edwin Pearce of Wierton, W. Va., Mrs. James Gunther and Miss Elizabeth Rosenlieb, both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Clyde Davidson of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Floyd Brown of Sardis, Ohio and Mrs. Ralph Hensel of New Matamoras, Ohio.Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Williams of Olney are his mother and father-in-law.The body of Mr. Rosenlieb is being returned to the Summers-Rainey Funeral Home in Olney. Final rites will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Main Street Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Steffy officiating. Interment with full military honors rendered by Olney Veteran organizations will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.The family has requested that Memorials be made to either the First Baptist Church in Placilin, Kans., or the Heart Fund.From obituary in The Olney Daily Mail.
