  Wayne's mother was a full blooded Black Foot Indian. He was very proud of his Native American Heritage. In his younger years he enjoyed working as a roughneck and later became a self-employed carpenter. Wayne also had a great love for baseball, not just as a fan, but as a player as well. His position was left field. He even received an opportunity to try out for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He also loved hunting for arrowheads. Wayne cherished his family and friends.
