    Goldie Ridgley, 56, 340 W. Cherry, Olney died at 5:10 a.m. Friday in Richland Memorial Hospital.

    Services will be in the Summers Funeral Home and Burial in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

    Mrs. Ridgley was born Sept. 12, 1924 in Richland County, the daughter of Levi and Zada (McDowell) Fulk. She married Donald Ridgley in 1951 and he survives.

    She was a Liscensed Practical Nurse at Burgin Nursing Manor.

    Other survivors include a son Gary, Olney; two stepsons, Frank and Bob Totten, both of Olney; five daughters, Patricia Cogswell, Mary Gosnell, and Ruth Buckles, all of Olney; Mrs. Katherine May, Pedro, Ohio; Betty Richards, Jackson, Miss.; three brothers, Perry Fulk, Olney; Carl and Dale, both of Noble; four sisters, Eva Gibson, Noble; Viola Hayes, Inez McKinney, Ina Biehl, all of Olney; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and an uncle.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Robin; a stepson, Terry Totten; and two brothers Omer and Vern Fulk.

    There was no visitation. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Olive Branch Cemetery in Decker Township, rural Richland County, with Reverend Mike Baker officiating and full military rites conducted by Olney veterans. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney was in charge of arrangements.

    Mina (Moseley) Newton, 94, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.

    Mina was born on May 30, 1927 in Clay City, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Clinton and Helen Madeline (Evans) Moseley. She married Donovan Newton on July 29, 1946 in Richland County, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2011.

    In her earlier years, Mina enjoyed being a farmer’s wife, square dancing and bowling. She took pleasure in working alongside her husband on the farm and raising her family of six children. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards and time spent with family. Sundays were always a house full of faith, family, food, and laughter. Mina had a strong faith in the Lord and prayed for her family and friends.

    She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.

    Mina is survived by her Son, Donald Wayne (Jayne) Newton of Noble; Daughter, Karen (Bob) Totten of Noble; Daughter, Sherry (Leon) Wilson of Olney; Son, Kevin Newton of Noble; Son, Kenneth Newton of Noble; Son, Charles (Nancy) Newton of Olney. 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rita Keck; sister, Viola Fehrenbacher; sister, Vera Rinnert; brother, Richard Moseley.

    A graveside funeral service for Mina will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Olive Branch Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow the service.

    Memorials can be made to Carle Center for Philanthropy (write Carle Hospice-Olney on memo line if donating by check) or Antioch Christian Church.
