Glenda was born July 14, 1952 in Olney, to Dale and Bonnie (Runyon) McKnight. She married Richard Barthelemy on March 3, 1973, he survives.

Glenda had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene and attended church at the First Christian Church of Noble. She loved family, especially her grandchildren. Glenda worked at the MotoMart in Olney for 23 years and was known for her contagious laugh and jovial personality. She took pleasure in reading her devotional books and watching TV.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Barthelemy of Noble; sons, Chad Barthelemy and wife Shelly of Noble, and Shanon Barthelemy and wife Jennifer of Newton, IL; 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild; brothers, Allen D. (JoAnn) McKnight of Flora and Brent (Paula) McKnight of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and best friend, Sandra Whitney.

A funeral service will be held for Glenda at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Noble Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Linda E. White Hospice House.

Dale F. McKnight, 90, of Olney, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Lavender Ridge in Olney.

Dale was born on September 30, 1927 in Hobart, IN, the son of Morris and Mary (Bryant) McKnight.

He married Bonnie C. Runyon on March 4, 1949 in Kentucky. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2000.

Dale was a hardworking and well respected farmer in Richland Co.. He enjoyed deer hunting with friends and listening to classic country and gospel music. Dale also took pleasure in carpentry work during the winter months. He was a dog lover and would take his dogs into the field with him. Early on he raised livestock and was a great caretaker to his animals. Dale was a faithful Christian and member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed visiting with his family and looked forward to spending time with his family from up North. Dale was a US Navy Veteran during WW II.

Dale is survived by his son, Allen D. (JoAnn) McKnight of Flora, IL; daughter, Glenda (Richard) Barthelemy of Noble, IL; son, Brent (Paula) McKnight of Olney, IL; grandchildren, Eric A. (Sue) McKnight of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jason E. McKnight of Flora, IL, Ashley J. (Austin) Gutierrez of Ft. Wainwright, AK, Chad (Shelly) Barthelemy of Noble, IL, Shanon D. (Jennifer) Barthelemy of Newton, IL, Mandy (Chris) Ginder of Olney, IL, and Adam (Maggie) McKnight of Flora, IL; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie Wilkins of Portage, IN and Norma (Jim) Labadie of Lake Station, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie McKnight; and sister, Marion Cornett.

Memorials can be made to Olney Church of the Nazarene.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens. Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.
