Notes: Mr. HASLER was born, reared, married and reared his own family near the place his parents first settled when they came here from Switzerland, nearly a century ago; he was a careful farmer and lover of good cattle and other farm livestock from which occupation he not only made a living for himself and large family but was able to lay by something for the rainy day day, which comes to all. He was a kind and jovial disposition, which made him many friends. Edward married Chaney, Sarah on 17 Sep 1874. This source shows she was married in Switzerland on 9 Dec 1837 to Kasper Häsler. Although the dates do not match Catherine's obituary and their names have been "Americanized", I suspect these are the same Catherine and Casper.'Ca'
