    Mrs. Grace M. Patterson,74, of Noble rt. 2, died this morning at 1:35 a.m. in Sycamore Municipal Hospital.

    She was born in Noble.

    Her husband, Cecil Henry Patterson, preceded her in death.

    Surviving are three sons, Fletcher and Paul, both of Noble, and John of Peoria; six daughters, Mrs. James (Louetta) Waltz of North Aurora, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Gillespey of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Ruby) Collins of Brentwood, Tenn., Mrs. Curtis (Cleo) Morgan of Dekalb, Mrs. Art (Fran) Rodarte of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Gary (Lori) Lackey of Redlands, Calif.; a brother, Everett Scherer of Noble; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Fulk and Mrs. Esther Jones, both of Noble, and nine grandchildren.

    She was a member of the Glenwood Church.

    Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Noble Chapel of the Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home, with burial in Hanna Cemetery.

    NOTE: In the 1930 census, her name is listed as "Lenore", on her headstone, it says "Lemora".

    NOTE: Her obituary says she was 58, but the dates on her headstone would make her 65.

    Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Lenore Scherer, 58, wife of William Scherer, who passed away at her home three miles west of Noble, last Thursday night. The Rev. Joe Whitaker officiated and interment was in the Hanna Cemetery.

    She had suffered a brief illness with pneumonia.

    Surviving her are her husband, and four children; Mrs. Cecil Patterson, Pete Fulk, both of Noble; Everett and Ester, both of whom are at home; Her father Levi Fulk, 90, also survives as do six brothers; John, Lun, Levi, and Ebenezer, all of Noble, and Joe and John, of Missouri, and three sisters; Mrs. Everett Benton, and Mrs. Lizzie Cross, both of Noble, and Mrs. Mathilda Ash, of Mattoon.
