    John Ray Wilkins, age 78, of Ingraham, passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:55 pm at his home in Ingraham.

    John was born May 23, 1939 at home in Ingraham, IL the son of the late Truman Ray and the late Lillian Berniece (Colborn) Wilkins.

    He was united in marriage to Alice Pickel on February 10, 1975 in Olney, IL.

    John was employed by Weber's Clothing and Jewelry of Teutopolis for 55 years as a watch maker and a clock repairman.

    He is survived by his wife, Alice Wilkins of Ingraham; sons, John Ray Wilkins, Jr of Olney, Bradley Keith Wilkins of Ingraham; daughter, Michelle Dawn Wilkins of Ingraham; brother, William Lee (Marla) Wilkins of Teutopolis; sisters, Leona Thomas of Olney, Peg (Jim) Kuenstler of Olney; grandchild, Brittney (Jason) Staley of Olney; great grandchildren, Adalynn Rae and Axton Wayne Staley of Olney.

    John is preceded in death by his parents, step-son, Stephen Jackson, brother, Beryl Dean Wilkins, sisters, Mary K. Bowen, Jo Anne Foster and Joyce Roberts.

    A private family graveside service will be at 12:30pm Friday, March 2, 2018. Interment will be held at Ingraham Cemetery in Ingraham, IL.
    Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home.

    L. Berniece Wilkins, 90, of Olney and formerly of Flora and Ingraham, died at 10:35pm Friday, May 26, 2000 at Burgin Manor in Olney, IL.

    Private family visitation and graveside services with Minister Delbert Foust officiating were held today at Ingraham Cemetery.

    Mrs. Wilkins was born September 9, 1909, in Clay County, the daughter of George Washington Colborn and Mary Adeline (Hardin) Colborn.

    She married Truman Ray Wilkins on November 17, 1928. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1988.

    She was a homemaker and a member of Ingraham Christian Church.

    Mrs. Wilkins is survived by 2 sons, John and wife Alice of Olney and William "Bill" and wife Marla of Teutopolis; 5 daughters, Joyce Roberts and husband Lawrence of West Harrison, IN, Mary Bowen of Flora. JoAnne Foster and husband Bob, Leona Mae Thomas and Peg Kuenstler and husband James, all of Olney; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Beryl Dean, 5 brothers, 5 sisters, 3 grandchildren, Robert Dean "Bobby" Foster, William "BJ" Wilkins amd Larry Lee Roberts, 1 great grandchild, Michael Bowen and 2 son-in-laws, Ezekial "Zeke" Bowen and Dale Thomas.
