Notes: Tradition has it that Nancy went to Florida during the Civil War to visit or bring home her wounded son. She went by train and took her 2 year old child. The child died on the way and the conductor had to stop the train to bury the child. Her wounded son died later as a young man and is buried in the Forest Grove Cemetery in Milam County.
