    Joyce was born the 1st day of Spring, and died the 1st day of Fall.

    Joyce loved to play darts, and the apple of her eye was her grandson Gage (son of Joyce's daughter Ayla).

    Joyce was diagnosed with cancer in July, and succumbed to it just 3 months later.

    Her family will always remember her whit, smile, and oneryness.

    Joyce made the best green chili and beef jerky. And family members anticipated her food gifts yearly.

    Joyce had pretty blonde hair, and green eyes. She was medium height and slender.

    She spent 30 years as a Central Office Engineer for Mountain Bell and US West.

    Joyce was born in Socorro, New Mexico. She was raised from age 1 year through most of her young adult life in Albuquerque, NM and then was transferred to Arizona by the phone company. In 1994, she again was transferred by the phone company to Centennial, Colorado where she lived until her death.

    Donnell's eyes were very blue. His hair was dark brown. He was 5'10" tall. He had medium-to-dark complexion. He was slim in build.

    He went by Donnell. At a very young age, Donnell had tuburculosis, and had to be in a TB hospital for many months.
    Donnelle was known for his quick whit and humor, and loved to tease.
    Donnelle was brilliant with numbers and could out beat anyone in a game of chess due to his ability to think his opponents next moves.

    Served as a clerk-typist, discharged as a Technician 4th Grade, awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal

    Notes:

    He always had a joke to tell, and loved to tease people. Ora was an only child. He was a colorful individual who was either liked or disliked. The family has many stories about Ora (some good, some bad), and some sad stories of Ora's childhoodht may have contributed to his strong personality. But it still holds true that he was a colorful man, strong in personality, and liked by many.

    Notes:

    Tishia and Ora Zimmerman divorced when their son Donnell Zimmerman was a small boy. Donnell and his brother William went to live with their mother Tishia. Tishia met another man after the divorce and was engaged to married. Before they were married, she died of tuberculosis. Donnell was then raised by Tishia's mother until she died, then Tishia's brothers. William was raised by Ora's mother some of the time and also lived with his father Ora and his new wife Flossie.

    The impact on Tishia’s two sons was significant to say the least. They both grew up being farmed-out to various relatives. William committed suicide at the age of 49. Donnell married and had 5 children and struggled to provide his kids what he never had (family, holidays, food on the table and shoes on their feet).

    Donnell always spoke fondly of his mother. Tishia left a big imprint on a son that lost her when he was only 8 years old.
