  Text	Hi Charley, What a wonderful website you have posted. I have the MCDOWELL family married into my NASH and PATTERSON line. My Great Grandfather Claibourn "Clabe" NASH (also seen as MASH in the 1850 Census Records, though we were raised believing that our surname is NASH), born 1835, Illinois. He was the son of "UNKNOWN" MASH and LOUVINA (maiden name unknown). Louvina was born between 1809 - 1812, in Kentucky. My NASH/MASH family migrated from NC, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and into Missouri. "UNKNOWN" NASH/MASH and LOUVINA had the following children: 1. HENRY NASH/MASH born 1837 Indiana 2. ELIZABETH G. "BETSY" NASH/MASH born 1832, ILL 3. CLAIBOURN NASH/MASH born 1835 ILL (my Great Grandfather) 4. JAMES NASH/MASH born 1837 ILL 5. MARY NASH/MASH born 1838 ILL ELIZABETH G. "BETSY" NASH/MASH married JOHN WILLIAM "SPLITFOOT" PATTERSON, on November 25, 1854, (you have him listed as John Wesley Patterson). I have thirteen (13) children born to this couple. I would love to share and exchange any information that I have on my family tree with you. My Brick wall is my NASH/MASH family. I believe that "Unknown" NASH/MASH died in Clay or Richland County, sometime between the years of 1838, when dadaughter MARY was born and July 14, 1847, as I have found a second marriage for LOUVINA to a Richard M. Pierce (Pearce) on that date, in Richland County, Illinois. I have done quite alot of research online through Clay and Richland Counties, for the past 15 years, and as of yet, I have not been able to find the given name of my "UNKNOWN" NASH/MASH. I would love to get in touch with any family members who may be able to help me with information and / or pictures of my NASH/MASH, PATTERSON, MCDOWELL family members.
