  Yukiko Kimura Akers, 89, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Saturday morning in a North Charleston hospital. All services will be private. Mrs. Akers was born July 5, 1929, in Japan. She was of the Christian faith, and she enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mrs. Akers was the widow of Walter A. Akers, Jr. Surviving are, two daughters, Helen Akers of Collins, MS, and Patricia Sotomayor of Summerville; a son, John Akers of Moncks Corner; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
