Notes - Trevor L. Pearce, 83, of Clay City, passed away on May 5, 2020 in Flora, IL.
Trevor was born July 17, 1936 in Flora, Illinois to parents Lynn Albert and Leora (Staley) Pearce. He married Martha (Harbin) Pearce on November 23, 1955 Clay City, IL.
Trevor was a lifelong farmer and Case Tractor dealer for 30 years. He was president of the Clay County Fair Board for many years and enjoyed showing his animals, Hampshire hogs and black Angus cattle, and tractor pulls.
When he was younger, Trevor was an excellent athlete and participated in basketball and track and field. He set records in both sports. Trevor instilled a strong work ethic in his children and grandchildren, leading by example on how to work hard for the things in life. Trevor's quick wit and ornery-ness will be missed by his local gang at the Knapps station.
Trevor was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clay City.
Survived by wife, Martha Pearce of Clay City; daughter, Debra Phillips and husband David of Clay City; son, Trevor Randall "Randy" Pearce of Clay City; daughter, Stacy (Bryan Irwin) Pearce of Barnhill, IL; grandchildren, Toby (Melanie) Pearce, Derek (Sarah) Pearce, Ryan (Bethani Patterson) Parish, and Blaine (Amy) Dehart; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Gleneva (Charles) Grayson, Gennell Doris, Juanita Crackel, and Lois Dugger.
