  Magdlena Cinderella "Maggie" Snell, 93, of Clay City, died at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Flora Gardens. Mrs. Snell was born December 11, 1917, in Sailor Springs, the daughter of John and Effie (Montoney) Smith. She married Lindell Snell in 1933 in Olney. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was a retired cook at Little Diner and Holland Truck Stop in Flora. She was a member of Clay City Christian Church. Mrs. Snell is survived by her son, Billie Snell, of Carmi; daughter, Virginia Moseley, of Clay City; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie Smith; husband, Lindell Snell; son, Bobbie Dean; four sisters; four brothers; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Summers Kistler Funeral Home with Minister Darrel Brandon officiating. Burial was in Clay City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clay City Christian Church.
