"Peter Schifferdecker documents this Hieronymus as son of Veith Jauch, b. abt. 1594 Schwenningen.
Close look at marriage and death records appears to support the notion that Heironymous Jauch had three wives:
1. 1657: marries Anna Stillin-Staehlin; she dies 16 June 1661.
2. Then in 1661, he marries Maria Stenge; she dies 30 June 1682. [Can't decipher enough to see if this Hieronymous is identified as a widower.]
3. Then on 05 February 1683, he marries Magdalena Sichlaus? Sichland? dau of Hanss, maurer from Tuttlingen. (Hieronymus is identified as a widow.)

There is an entry in the "Inventur- and Teilungsbuch Schwenningens from 15. June 1683. [German text in documents attached to email.]
"About one year ago died Maria Stengin, wife of Hieronimus Jauchen, tailor, inhabitant in Schwenningen. She had together with her husband Hieronimus Jauch four children, named:
Christian, Maria, Anna, and Agathe, all still unmarried.
Furthermore he (Hieronymus Jauch) had with his previous wife, Anna Stellin, also two children, named:
Hannß, and
Ursula,
constante matrimonio begetted and leaved

1 new biuld, but still not completed house, and barn, down in the village, near the Herdgasse, situated between Martin Jauch and Erhard Schentzlin,

Last interruption:
It is to know, that this man Hieronymus Jauch was married again with Magdalena, the widow of Hanß Sichler, mason, dead citizen from Tuttlingen. ......
She (Magdalena) had with Hanß Sichler, mason, four children, named:
Maria, Hanß, Baestlin and Leonhard, all still unmarried.
This entry shows that Hieronymus Jauch was married 3 times.
Hieronymus Jauch didn't die in 1662 (this was my mistake). I think that your 15. May 1701 is the correct date.
The second woman Maria Stenge is the daughter of Martin Stenge from Tuttlingen (entry in the Inventur- and Teilungsbuch from 27. November 1771)
Father of Hieronymus Jauch
There is no birth record of Hieronymus Jauch. In 1635 (calculated year of birth) Schwenningen was destroyed from the soldiers of Villingen and the inhabitants flew.
Veith Jauch (born 1594) had a sister, Walldburga Jauch, the wife of Erhard Schentzlin. She died 1665. There is an entry in the Inventur- and Teilungsbuch from 25. April 1665, in which her brother Veith ist named with his 6 children: Michael, Jacob, Christian, Hieronimus, Martin and Agnes, die Jauch, all citizens in Schwennngen. From This entry I conlude that Hieronimus is the son of Veith."
