    The writing on the back identifies the man on the right as George. Since the others were born as Lukes, I suspect this is George Denver Luke.

    • Mrs. Edna Pearl Fryman, 79, of Noble, died Friday afternoon at the Richland Memorial Hospital.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Noble Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Travis in charge. Burial will be in Clay City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.

      Mrs. Fryman was the widow of the late Charles Fryman.

      She is survived by a son, Bert Fryman of Batesville, Arkansas; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Junkins and Mrs. Charlene Fulk, both of Noble, and Mrs. Mildred Westbrook and Mrs. Dorothy Westbrook, both of Vacaville, California. There are also fifteen grandchildren.

      Note from Carl W. Gray: I used to mow Pearl's lawn when I was a teenager. I remember that she had a lot of photographs and that she tried to explain the family history to me. I wish now that I had paid more attention.
