- Notes from Jillaine Smith:
Anna Stenge, married 29 Apr 1657 in Schwenningen, b. ABT 1637 in Tuttlingen (per Axel Bauder), (daughter of Conrad Stenge) d. 29 Jan 1692 in Schwenningen.
Anna: The "Stenge" was added later (different handwriting) in the baptism records of many of her children.
In the Schwenningen church death records 1659-1677, there are a number of children born to Christian Jauch and Anna Unknown who would be the right age to be children of this couple. They were:
Christian, b. abt. Aug 1659; d. 9 Sep 1659; age 3 weeks
Christian, b. abt. 1666, d. 13 Feb 1667; age 6 months
Johannes, b. Jan 1671; d. 5 Feb 1674, age 3y 1m
Martin, d. 3 Dec 1675, no age given or legible
Johannes, b. Apr 1677; d. 9 Mar 1678; age 11 mos
And the baptism/birth records for these children have "STENGE" added in different handwriting as the surname of Anna, wife of Christian.
Since there are no other Christians married and having children at this time, I am going to go with Anna "Stenge" as this Christian's wife." (END OF QUOTE)
