- Melvin L. Fulk, 88, of Ingraham passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Ingraham, on December 24, 1931, to Dewey and Hazel Fulk, and married the love of his life Melva A. Hamilton in 1951.
Melvin was a US Air Force Veteran, uranium miner, and owner/operator of the family trucking business. He loved going to auctions, loved the family farm and loved being with friends and family his entire life, a devote member of the Catholic Church (in Windelin, IL) and always led the family prayer at each meal. Melvin never met a stranger, welcomed everyone, worked hard and enjoyed life.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 69 years; Melva A. Fulk, his daughters; Belinda Hubbell and Cecilia (Karl) Kelley, son; Ernest (Carla) Fulk. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Fulk was preceded in death by his parents, son; Alan D. Fulk, daughter; Debora L. Fulk, sister; Bernadine Turnipseed, brother; Gerald Fulk, and son in law; Thomas Hubbell.
Graveside services honoring the life of Melvin will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 at the South Muddy Cemetery, Ingraham, with Father Mark D. Stec officiating, and burial will follow. Visitation will be held on Friday at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville where friends may call from 1 to 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Donors Choice.
