  Hazel Bernice Clark, 61, of Olney, IL, died Sept. 26, 2002, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Clark was born December 19, 1940, in Noble, the daughter of Clayson and Nella Luke McDowell. She was self-employed and enjoyed caring for the elderly. She was a member of the Olney V.F.W. Auxiliary and Olney Eagles Auxiliary. Mrs. Clark is survived by three sons, David, Rick, and Gregory Bell; a daughter, Rhonda Toy; two brothers, Ronald and Glenn McDowell; six sisters, Dorothy Bricker, Barbara House, Nella Dilley, Betty Lemmons, Leona DiSandro, and Kay Lomas; several nieces, nephews, 13 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Joshua Bell, one brother, Adrian McDowell, and one sister, JoAnn McDowell. Funeral services were at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home with burial in the Clay City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
