    • Herman W. Kuhl, 80, of Wendelin, died December 19, 2005, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

      He was born September 12, 1925 in Clay County, the son of Leo and Bernadine Klingler Kuhl. He married Georgiann Nix August 26, 1952.

      He was a retired farmer, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Clay County Farm Bureau.

      Survivors include his wife; three sons, David, Richard, and Gregory Kuhl; a daughter, Alice Lee; and 12 grandchildren.

      Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Bernard and Fidelis, and a sister, Mary Nix.

      Funeral services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Chruch with burial in the church cemetery at Wendelin.

      Memorials to the church or American Cancer Society.

      Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney was in charge of arrangements.
