    • Eilene Woods, 85, of Flora, died August 8, 2006, at St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham.

      Mrs. Woods was born December 9, 1920 in Louisville, the daughter of Charles and Bessie Coatney Deain. She married Loren "Slim" Woods April 15, 1939 in Piggot, Ark. and he preceded her in death December 31, 1995.

      She was retired from International Shoe Co., Brown Poultry, and Spart Mfg.

      She attended McCabe general Baptist Church in Flora, was a charter member of Flora Eagles Auxiliary, and a member of the Moose Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary.

      Survivors include two daughters, Linda Young and Sue Habbe; a son, Ron Woods; two sisters, Moine Windle and Coleen Sessions; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

      Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son, Terry, and four grandsons, Rande, Gerald Lee, James Loren, and Joseph Alan.

      Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home with burial in Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
