    • Leota Geraldine Holsen, 97, of Olney, died Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

      Mrs. Holsen was born April 30, 1914, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Aden and Grace (Fyffe) Denison. She married Melvin D. Holsen on October 31, 1933. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1998.

      She was a homemaker. She was a member of Berryville Christian Church for 37 years and Elm Street Christian Church for 40 years. She was a member of Richland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Charter member of Home Extension and served on the county board.

      Mrs. Holsen is survived by special Friends, Loy and Ramona Caudell, of Calhoun; brother-in-law, Merle Holsen, of Lakeland, Fla.; sister-in-law, Mildred Correll, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Aden and Grace Denison and husband, Melvin Holsen.

      Funeral services at the Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Minister Larry Weber officiating. Burial in Sumner Cemetery.
