- Betty Jane Latter, 89, of White Heath died at 6:52 a.m. Monday (Nov. 9, 2015) at home.
Mrs. Latter was born April 29, 1926 in Champaign to Edward Francis and Ethel May (Prough) Lindeman. She married Malvern Donald Latter Sr. on Sept. 24, 1948 at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul. He preceded her in death July 15, 2003. Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Malvern Donald Latter Jr., six brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Latter is survived by daughters, Carol Wilson (Terry) and Susan Hettinger; sisters, Ruth Giordano and Patricia Mingee; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Betty graduated from Champaign High School in 1944. After marriage, she became a homemaker.
