    • Dale Chaplin, 51, of Arley, Ala., and formerly of Olney, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Jasper, Ala.

      Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Claremont.

      Mr. Chaplin was born July 7, 1960, in Hillsdale, Mich., the son of Myrl Chaplin and Marjorie(Daubs)Chaplin-Brassie.

      Mr. Chaplin is survived by his special friend, Barbara Smith; father, Myrl Chaplin, of Pesotum; mother, Marjorie Brassie, of Olney; son, Cory Chaplin, of Fort Walton, Fla.; son, Matthew Chaplin and his wife, Bridget, of Denver, Colo.; son, Brandon Chaplin, of Denver, Colo.; stepson, Austin Johns and his wife, Rachel; brother, Larry Chaplin, of Olney; sister, Linda Clow and her husband, Bill, of Olney; brother, Merrill Chaplin and his wife, Vonna, of Mahomet; brother, Gerald Chaplin and his wife, Robin, of Olney; granddaughter, Grace Chaplin; grandson, Brandon Chaplin Jr.; stepgranddaughter, Jayla Johns; and several nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Chaplin, and his grandparents.
