- Ed Ginder, 67, of Olney, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home.
Ed was born on September 8, 1956 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Julian H. and Mary P. (Kocher) Ginder. He married Elizabeth J. Dallmier on April 17, 1982 in Ste. Marie, Illinois, and she survives.
Ed took pleasure in being out in nature and prided himself on the art of landscaping. He enjoyed attending auctions and getting a good deal. Ed loved trips with his family and especially loved spending time with his granddaughter.
Ed was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown.
Ed is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ginder of Olney; son, Wayne Ginder of Lawrenceville; daughter, Heather Atkins and husband Tom of Olney; granddaughter, Elisabeth Atkins; brothers, Henry Ginder and his wife, Nina, of Olney, Leo Ginder and his wife, Mary Pat, of Clare, Mich., Richard Ginder and his wife, Robbie, of Olney, Laurence Ginder and his wife, Nancy, of Olney, William Ginder and his wife, Jana, of Olney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Janel Ginder, and sister, Nadine Zwilling.
A Funeral Liturgy for Ed will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown, with a visitation beginning one hour before service time at the church.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is assisting the family with arrangements.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Stringtown.
