  Donald Wayne O'Dell, age 79, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 2:25 pm, Friday, February 27, 2015, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL. Donald was born Monday, April 1, 1935 in Clay County, IL, the son of the late Leland O'Dell and the late Bessie (Abel) O'Dell. He married Mary Lewis on August 4, 1962 in Clay County, IL. He was employed by Best Homes in Effingham as a carpenter. Donald is survived by wife, Mary H. O'Dell; son, Randy Wayne O'Dell; daughter, Sheila Waller (Tracy Hostettler); brothers, Jimmie (Jean) O'Dell; Harry O'Dell, Larry (Mary) O'Dell, and Tom (Kathy) O'Dell; sisters, Betty Willis, Connie Jones, and Nancy Palmer; grand children, Allen (Charissa) Waller, Heather Morton, Jamie (Brandon) Allison, and six great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill O'Dell and sister Sue Hale. Arrrangements were handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville. Per his wishes, creamtion rites were accorded and no public services was held at this time.
