- 'Frances Lorraine "Fran" Myrick
1921 - 2007
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 30th, at 2:30 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. Frances Lorraine Myrick was born in rural Quenamo, Kansas to Lemuel and Emma Porter on June 22, 1921 and went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2007. She was the eldest of siblings, Geraldine, Maxine, Eleanor, Eileen, Rita, Lemuel Jr., William, Robert and Howard. She married the love of her life, Orval "Keith" Myrick in June of 1944 and shared with him 61 years and three sons, Larry, Darrell, and Keith "Skip". Moving throughout southern California, she followed her husband from "fixer upper" to "fixer upper" until finally settling in Bakersfield, in the early 1980's. Fran was the Betty Crocker of homemakers. She dedicated her entire life to cooking and making a home for her family. She made a perfect pie crust, loved to sew, crochet, square dance and most of all loved her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We would like to thank her special friend, Wilma McElmurry and our Park Stockdale neighbors, Dennis and Barb Jones and Pat and Marti Patterson, for all the love they've shown our mother since losing her husband and soul mate in October 2005; and a special thank you to Dr. Enoch and Hoffmann Hospice for helping to make her departure easier. Frances Lorraine Myrick "Fran" June 22, 1921 - Mar. 23, 2007 Greenlawn Mortuary
