- Jerry Neil Bailey, age 82 of Louisville, IL passed away at 12:40 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, IL.
Jerry was born Saturday, June 4, 1932 in Flora, IL, the son of Farlon and Maxine (McNeely) Bailey. He married Marjorie O'Dell on February 6, 1949 in Kentucky.
He was employed by various companies as an operating engineer. He was a member of Louisville Christian Church and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was also a member of the operating engineers Local 841 out of Terre Haute.
Jerry is survived by wife Marge of Flora; sons, Ron (Wanda) Bailey of Louisville, John (Gail) Bailey of Edgewood; daughter Mary Kaye (Roger Lee) Ash of Louisville; sisters, Patsy (Elmo) Pemberton of Mooresville, IN, Judy Neal of Louisville; 2-grandchildren, Tina (Don) Olszewski of Pesotum, IL, Chad Bailey of Chickasha, OK; 4-great grandchildren, Ashley and Kate Owen of Pesotum, IL, Claire and Garrett Bailey of Chickasha, OK; and a loving circle of friends and family who will all miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Jack Neal.
Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2014. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 16, 2014. Interment will be at Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
