    • Charles E. Grounds, age 51, a former Olney resident passed away Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.

      Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers—Marshall Funeral Home with Bill Rennels officiating. Interment will be in the St. Francisville Cemetery.

      Grounds was a native of Wabash County and was born at Mt. Carmel, the son of Charles W. Grounds and Blanche Moore Grounds.

      He was employed in Olney by the C.I.P.S. Co. as a tree trimmer.

      He was a veteran of World War II.

      He leaves his wife Ethel and one son Charles Harvey Grounds of Jackson, Tenn. Mrs. George (Barbara) Hostettler of Claremont is a step-daughter. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: George Wesley Grounds address unknown, Gilbert Wayne Grounds of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Elva Bernice Hasler of Noble, Mrs. Mary Wesener of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Alice Smith of Alvin, Texas, Mrs. Viola June Brogan of Chicago, Mrs. Telletha Pipher of Olney, Mark Grounds of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Alpha June Dipzinski of Fenton, Michigan.
