  Grace L. Dickerson, age 88, of Flora, IL died at 9:45 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Clay County Hospital in Flora. She was born October 17, 1923 in Xenia, IL to Neal and Chloe (Carrell) Adams. She married Roy Dickerson on October 17, 1942 in Hillsboro, MO. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1993. Grace retired after over 20 years as a dietician at the Flora Pavilion and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tinley Park. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her grandkids. Fishing was also a favorite activity in the past and she was a Chicago Cubs fan, always watching them on television. Grace is survived by two sons: Roy E. and Jim Dickerson; two brothers: Tom and John Adams; a sister: Blanche Chandler; along with 8 grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter (Judith K. Knackmuhs), and a brother (Neal W. Adams). The funeral service for Grace Dickerson was held at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Richard Artis officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Xenia.
