    • tanley Albert Dies Attending Golf Matches

Stanley Albert, 62 of Farmer City, founder and executive vice president of Pre-Fab Transit Co., Inc., died in St. Louis Saturday while attending the Ryder Cup golf matches.

Mr. Albert was pronounced dead on arrival at St. John's Mercy Hospital, St. Louis at 5 p.m., minutes after he was felled by an apparent heart attack at the Old Warson Country Club.

His body will be taken to the Stensel Funeral Home in Farmer City.

Mr. Albert founded the business in Detroit in 1945 when he noticed that the building boom after World War II had increased the need for prefabricated housing and the housing components needed transportation. Two years later he formed a partnership with Roy Roberson and the business was moved to Farmer City.

Mr. Albert also made headlines in 1966 as the instigator of a suit demanding a one-man, one-vote reapportionment of county boards of supervisors.

The business he started now has some 50 terminals, handling shipments for most of the major manufacturers in the building industry.

He leaves his wife, Dolly, who was with him at the tournament, and a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Diana) Roberts, who is an administrative vice president of the Pre-Fab firm.

      Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
