  Mrs. Anna Mae Xamis Traub, 84, of Springfield died at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday at Doctors Hospital. Mrs. Traub was born May 4, 1905, in Carlinville, the daughter of John C.F. Mermann and Bertha Lue Ellis Eller. She was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Sam Xamis, in 1946; a brother, Frank Eller; and a sister, Gertrude Scott. Surviving are three sisters, Myrtle Berchett of Ashland, Ohio, Ruth Viola Imel of East Alton and Agnes Martin of Marion, Ohio; one brother, Joseph Mermann of Cordington, Ohio.; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. State Journal-Register, The (Springfield, IL) - Wednesday, April 4, 1990
