Notes - CHARLESTON -- Diamond Smith Pearcy Flynn Kruse Shunk 106, of Charleston, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 3:53 a.m. on May 26, 2020.
Diamond's family invite you to her graveside service, at 11:00 a.m. on June 2, 2020, at the Janesville Cemetery. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Diamond was born on December 25, 1913, in Decatur, Illinois. She is the eldest child of Logan and Bessie Smith. The Lord blessed Diamond with 5 children. Robert, Raymond, Bernice, Anna Mae, and baby Leroy.
She is survived by daughters Bernice Titley, and Anna Mae Lineberry and daughter-in-law Denise Pearcy. These children blessed her with 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Diamond is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Flynn, Clarence Kruse, and Ivan Shunk. Also sons, Robert Pearcy, Raymond Pearcy and wife Patsy, son baby Leroy, son-in-law Dale Titley and two grandsons Joe and Kenny Lineberry.
Diamond worked for the Kuehne factory. After retiring she made beautiful doll clothes, Barbie clothes and even people clothes. Diamond and Cecil loved traveling to flea markets to share their goods and meet people that forged lifelong friendships. One of Diamonds greatest accomplishment was building her own home in Toledo. Yet by far her greatest accomplishment was that of her family and the joy they brought to her. So many lives have been touched by this amazing woman.
Memorials may be made to Project Linus. Online condolences may be expressed at www.schillingfuneralhome.net or Schilling Funeral Home's Facebook page.
