On Veterans' Day, 2005, the city of Flora, Illinois dedicated a memorial to all known Clay County, Illinois World War II Veterans.
Located on the south side of the city library, this is a copy of the brochure honoring that event.

Notes - Leo Dios Frost, age 86, of Louisville, died at 4:24 p.m., Monday, December 10,2007, at Flora Health Care Center in Flora.
He was born April 6,1921, in Clay County, the son of Dios and Ethel (Callison) Frost. He married Rose Frost, August 31, 1946. She preceded him in death.
He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and was also self employed. He was also a Union 841 operating engineer and was a veteran of the Army Corps of Engineers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cynde Frost of Olney, and Doug and Carmen Frost of Louisville; special friend and companion Roberta Allen of Louisville; three brothers, Dale Frost of Flora, Harry "Bus" Frost and wife Millie of Xenia, and Guy "Wimpy" Frost and wife Pauline of Louisville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Frost of Louisville, and Joyce Barbee of Louisville; grandchildren, Larry Frost, Bradley Frost, and Brandi Wood and husband Andy; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Robert Frost, one sister, Dorothy Frost, and one grandchild, J.L. Frost.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 14, at 11:30 a.m. at Red Brush Cemetery in rural Louisville with Bro. Bennie Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville.
Memorials may be made to the Clay County Veterans Memorial or donor's choice.
