    • Fred H. Clark, 80, a former Wayne county treasurer, died at Memorial Hospital.

      A long time Democrat, he served as county treasurer in the 1930's, and had resided in Farifield ever since. He was born and reared north of Wayne City.

      Mr. Clark suffered a heart attack December 8 and had been a hospital patient since that date, excepting for three weeks when he was home. He entered the hospital for the last time February 8.

      Fred H., son of William and Amanda Clark, was born in Wayne county December 27, 1886.

      In 1905 he was married to Delia Keltcher, with three children born to their union. In additon to these children, the Clarks took into their home and reared, Mrs. Orval Kazort from the time she was 16 months old.

      His wife passed away in 1951.

      He was a retired Baptist minister and served for some time as the missionary for the Mt. Erie Baptist Association. Later he was also employed as a guard at Airtex.

      He was a member of the First Baptist church here.

      Surviving are the children; a son, Maurice; two daughters, Dorothy Ferguson, and Thelma Sheldon; and Mrs. Kazort, of Rochelle. One sister preceded him in death.

      Funeral services were held from Nale's Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill cemetery.
