- Mrs. Samuel (Nettie K.) Hilliard died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gene Lane, in Cisne, IL. She suffered a stroke over two years ago and had been in bed most of the time since then.
Mrs. Hilliard was born in Wayne County August 24, 1893, the daughter of Sidney and Rena Young Cook and was married to Samuel Hilliard November 20, 1910. they had six children and two have preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Rock Branch Church and active as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dale and Donnie; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Lane and Mrs. Duane Pond; a brother, James Cook; a sister, Bertha Hale; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Rock Branch General Baptist Church with burial in Cisne Cemetery.
