  He retired from construction work. The perfect day for Bob was to play golf with his buddies, drink some Bud Lights, watch IU basketball, and kiss his wife Myra, which is what he did the day before he died. He attended the Salvation Army Church in Bloomington, and was a member of the Moose Lodge, AMVETS 2000, American Legion Post 18, Labor and Hod Carriers Union 741.
