    • Chester M. THORNE, 58, Leiters Ford, died at 8 a.m.Sunday in his home following a three-year illness.

      He was born May 3, 1925 in Vincennes to Victor and Katherine STOKELY THORNE. He moved to Aubbeenaubbee Township from Monticello five years ago. He was married March 10, 1947 in Henderson, Ky., to Wilma R. KROEGER; she survives. He was a trucker and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

      Surviving with the wife are five daughters, Judith CALLAHAN, Chicago; W. Katheryn SPENNER, address unavailable; Mrs. Daryl (Cheryl) SCHALABACH, Culver; Mrs. Edward (Jacqueline) LUKAC, Knox, and Mrs. Timothy (Debra) WARD, Fresno, Calif. five sons, Stephen [THORNE], Flagstaff, Ariz.; Chester THORNE II, Smyrna, Ga.; David [THORNE], Kennesaw, Ga.; Thomas [THORNE], Culver, and Victor [THORNE], Flagstaff, Ariz.; twenty-four grandchildren, four sisters, Hazel DOWNEN, Fritchton; Joan TRAVIS, Mesa, Ariz.; Jacqueline GRAY, Cedar Town, Ga., and Ruth SCHWEIGER, Portland, Ore., and brother, Victor [THORNE], Winslow.
