Notes - Sherl Edward Hasler 89, of Bloomfield, passed away February 9, 2010. He was born July 6, 1920, the son of Vactor and Mary Hasler, near Mineral, Indiana. Sherl served with the 862nd EAB Battalion during WWII, 1942-45, and retired from Crane Naval Weapons Support Center in 1978. There he worked as an operational supervisor for the railroad. He is survived by his wife, Eva Nell (Fortner) Hasler; sister, Enid Bohley Axe, and two daughters, Denise Robertson, Benecia, California, and Joyce Long, Greenwood, Indiana; three grandchildren, Liam Robertson, Chris and Valerie Long.
