  • Notes
    • Louise was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a beautician for over 20 years, first working in the Chicago area and later opening her own business, “Petite Beauty Shop,” after returning to Flora. Her experience allowed Louise to offer the most contemporary hairstyles of the time, and she was among the first in this area to offer beauty services for nails. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling, especially to places like Branson, and she was a frequent reader of novels. Louise loved spending time with her family and grandkids, and memories of family get-togethers at the house are most warmly cherished, as she prepared favorite dishes in the kitchen while Wayne often cooked out on the grill.
