Honorably discharged from the 785th Army Air Forces Base Unit as a Sergeant on March 19, 1946 at the Separation Center, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.

      Vernon L. "Ike" Eytchison, 82, of Frederick, Md., formerly of both Silver Spring and Bethesda, Md., died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Homewood at Crumland Farms, Frederick, Md.

      A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Homewood at Crumland Farms, 7407 Willow Road, Frederick, Md., with the Rev. Beverly Stang officiating.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.S. Synchronized Swimming Foundation, 201 S. Capitol Ave., Suite 901, Indianapolis, IN 46225.

      Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick, Md.
