- Entered active service as a draftee on May 22, 1942 at East Saint Louis, Illinois. Trained and served as a Meat and Dairy Technician Military Occupational Specialty 120 at various U.S. locations throughout his tour with the Medical Corps. Eligible for The American Campaign Medal, The Wwii Victory Medal and The Good Conduct Medal. Honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant from The 1839th Medical Detachment an January 24, 1946 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
